Half a million more people went online in the second quarter of 2010 to listen to radio, as compared to the figures for the previous year. The popularity of online modes of entertainment stem from the fact that more and more people are choosing the Internet to fulfill their entertainment needs. And the popularity of online radios, in particular, has soared because they have come to be recognized as stations that play an eclectic choice of music, encompassing a wide range of genres.
